- Make sure they’re well behaved and travel worthy. Not every dog was meant to travel the road, sometimes doggy daycare really is the better option.
- Be sure to make reservations in advance, searching out dog-friendly hotels and stops along the way.
- Bring a piece of home for your dog to connect to, having his favorite toy or bed available will help ease any anxiety he may have.
- Pets aren’t meant for hotel rooms. A dog doesn’t want to be left for the day cooped up in an unfamiliar place. Take him with you wherever you go, and don’t’ leave him in the car unattended for long periods. When he is in the there, keep him cool with cracked windows and shady parking spots.
