Hearst Tower, home of Hearst Media Empire, went through an extensive re-design in 2006. The 42-story tower was built atop the original 6-story building. It features diagonal gridwork and see-through glass panels making the sleek design unique in the world. It’s also recognized as the first green building in NYC with a giant three-story water sculpture in the main atrium.
